Mazatlan Nightlife
While Mazatlan may not be the night life
capital of Mexico, Mazatlan nightlife certainly will satisfy the desires of most night owls and party
animals. Discos, Bars, extravagant shows and Mexican Fiestas all compete for your Mazatlan night life
attention.
The Mazatlan nightlife starts late, many of the nightclubs and
discos do not even open until 9 or 10 PM, and winds down early in the morning. Most of the discos in Mazatlan
close around 3 or 4 AM.
Many Mazatlan restaurants turn into completely different animals in
the late evening. A great deal of the night life is centered in one complex - Fiesta Land, (seen in the
pictures at the left) - a Mazatlan landmark, located at the northern end of the Malecón. Inside are a total of
7 Mazatlan restaurants and clubs; the most popular of which are Bora-Bora, which is filled with a
younger crowd who enjoy dancing on the bar, and Valentino’s which is another lively club, with a large dance
floor and open bar on weekends. Others include Bali Hai (Sports Video Bar & Restaurant), Canta
Bar (Karaoke Bar), Mikinos (Piano Bar), and Pepe's & Joe (Restaurant & Brew Pub). Be
prepared for a young and party crowd. This is where Mazatlan nightlife is Happening!
In the Zone you will find Mundo Banana's, very popular among
locals. A block from Camaron Sabalo is Ave Rodolfo Loaiza, where you will find a strip of Mazatlan
restaurants and clubs. The heart of Mazatlan nightlife.
The most popular along here are Gringo Lingo
(left)...

and Joe's Oyster Bar.

Walk a couple of blocks north of Gringo Lingo and to your left
you'll come to another popular Mazatlan restaurant / dance club among locals,
Mango's.
And of course, don’t forget the afore mentioned Señor
Frogs on our Mazatlan restaurant page.

If your tastes for Mazatlan nightlife are a little more tame, up and down the
Golden Zone, there are an abundance of Mazatlan restaurants with more mellow entertainment in all sorts
of café’s and bars with mariachi’s and other live Latin groups. You might want to check our Gus-Gus across
from the Costa de Oro resort. A little outdoor Mazatlan restaurant with live entertainment, good drinks
and food.
There is also the “Mexican Fiesta” offered a couple of nights a week at
the hotel Playa Mazatlan providing a Mexican buffet and show.
There is also the “Spectaculare”, our favorite, in it's
own outdoor amphitheater towards the northern end of the Golden Zone. The food is so-so but the show is very
entertaining.
